The heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his church is life, now and forever.

Death does come to all but there is hope beyond the grave. There is life beyond the portals of death.

Because a Christian believes that God, who is powerful and victorious over death, promises the gift of resurrection, the funeral service is to be a thankful and victorious service. The service is not intended to be a surrender to hopeless grief or to mere sentiment. It is above all a witness to our faith in the risen Savior, Jesus the Christ.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you

that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again

and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.

~ John 14:1-3
